Welcome to our SEND page.  Mrs Anna O'Brien is the school's Special educational Needs Coordinator.  She works on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.


Mrs Perrin is our Inclusion Teacher and works in school Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

School SEND Information Report

At Lindley CE Infant School we are committed to the equal inclusion of all pupils in all areas of school life.  We are committed to offering an inclusive curriculum to ensure the best possible progress for all of our pupils whatever their needs and abilities.  The school seeks to raise achievement, remove barriers to learning and increase physical and curricular access to all.  All children with SEND are valued, respected and equal members of school.

Parent Space

Parent Space is a group for parents of children with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND).  We meet for coffee and biscuits termly to chat, share information and find out more about the support which is available for children and families in school and in the local area.

When arriving for meetings, we ask parents to please sign in at the school office and wait in the entrance for Mrs O’Brien. 

Children's Mental Health Workshops

Please click on the link below to see further information.  The FREE workshops cover a range of topics, including Autism Awareness, Positive Communication and Attachment, Supporting Sleep, Maintaining Positive Wellbeing, Anxiety and Behaviour.  These free workshops, run by staff from Northorpe Hall and will be delivered via ZOOM, are open to any parents.  Places are limited and should be booked directly on Northorpe Hall's website:

PCAN - Parents and Carers of Children with Additional Needs

Pcan are an independent, parent led forum in Kirklees for all parent / carers of children and young people with additional needs 0-25. No diagnosis is needed to join Pcan, parent’s instincts or concerns over their child’s wellbeing,  behaviour or condition would be enough.
